Privacy Policy

Effective October 3, 2026. Roofline Ontario is an independently operated directory. Contact the operator through our contact form for privacy questions or deletion requests.

Information you submit.

We collect the fields you provide in roofing, contact, listing and contractor forms: name, email, phone where applicable, city/postal code, project details, business details and your consent. Avoid submitting payment information, identity documents, medical information or other sensitive data. File uploads are not enabled.

Why we use it.

We review requests, respond to enquiries, process listing corrections and evaluate contractor participation. With your explicit consent, we may share a roofing request with one suitable participating contractor for that project. We do not automatically send requests to all listed businesses or add you to a marketing list.

Sharing and service providers.

Requests are stored in Cloudflare D1 through ChatGPT Sites. Hosting providers process technical information needed to deliver and secure the service; data may be processed outside Canada. When a participating contractor receives your request, it handles it under its own practices. Contact us to withdraw consent before further sharing; withdrawal does not undo information already delivered.

Measurement and abuse prevention.

We record aggregate page, contact-click and form events with the page path and timestamp, without an advertising identifier or submitted form content. We do not set an analytics tracking cookie. Form abuse prevention may retain a hashed network address for rate limits; hosting providers may also process request logs and security cookies.

Retention and access.

Enquiry records and event records are removed after 90 days during subsequent system activity. Contractor participation records are retained while participation is active. You may request access, correction or deletion through the contact form. We may need to confirm identity before acting on a request.

Business listings.

Public business contact details and service descriptions come from identified business websites. We provide a free correction/removal request process. Linked websites have their own privacy practices.
